New Delhi: Amid the ongoing deadlock over the border with China, Chinese companies in India are constantly trying to expand their economic empire. Surprisingly, despite the recent conflict between the Indian and Chinese military in Ladakh, Chinese companies are joining the big tenders of India and are engaged in getting contracts worth billions.

A Chinese government company has also applied in the global tender sought for India's semi-high-speed train Vande Bharat Express. This Chinese company has a joint venture with this firm of Gurugram. Indian Railways is seeking a propulsion system for the semi-high speed train Vande Bharat Express. Indian Railways has asked for global tenders for 44 propulsion systems. The name of the Chinese state-owned company CRRC Pioneer Electric India Private Limited is also included in the race to get the tender. According to the company's website, CRRC Pioneer Electric India Private Limited has an agreement with a Gurugram company and these two companies work together in India.

Chinese company CRRC has shown interest in India when there has been a conflict between China and India in Ladakh. On Friday, Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav told the media that CRRC Pioneer Electric India Private Limited was also included in the tender sought to buy the propulsion system for Vande Bharat Express.
