New Delhi: Indian Railways had taken a new initiative to commemorate Karvachauth in a memorable way for newly married couples, but its plan could not take off. Indian Railways has to cancel the special train run on the occasion of Karva Chauth. In fact, to make Karva Chauth special and to create a new business, IRCTC had planned to run a special train for married couples, but only two couples bought tickets for it.

According to sources, IRCTC had kept a five-day travel package 'Dream Holiday' for the couples in this special train 'The Majestic Rajasthan Deluxe'. Under this, they would be given tours of famous tourist places of Rajasthan. 78 seats were reserved for this in the Karwachauth special train, but only two couples bought tickets. Married couples did not show any interest in this particular train.

Not only this, special arrangements were made for the married couple in this special train. This train was scheduled to leave on October 14, but by October 9, only 4 seats of this train, ie two couples, booked the ticket. For this reason, IRCTC had to cancel this Karvachauth special train.
