After the demand from the states to increase the lockdown, the government is also considering extending its duration. On the other hand, Railways are also in favour of starting their services with a complete plan.

The big thing is that currently the railway authorities are not in favour of restoring rail services in the areas affected more than Corona in the country. The emphasis is also being given on keeping the middle berths empty in coaches and thermal checking for social distancing in starting conditions. Apart from this, before starting the rail services in the states, the government has also asked its top officials to talk to the officials of the state government, so that the services can be restored only after seeing the needs of the railways in the state.

RBI: States will be able to borrow extra money

Railway Board Chief VK Yadav recently shared information about the government's plan in one of its meetings, which took place through video conferencing with top officials. Railway officials are preparing to divide the country's rail network into red, yellow and green zones. Railways plan not to run any trains in the Red Zone at present. Apart from this, a limited number of services should be operated in the Yellow Zone, while services in the Green Zone should be fully started. However, sources say that the Railways have just prepared the plan and no decision has been taken to start the services.
