Indian Railway will convert 181 passengers trains in express trains

New Delhi: Indian Railways is preparing to provide great relief to the passengers of the railways. Railways is considering converting long-distance passenger trains into express trains. According to the information, in order to provide better services to the passengers and speed up the rail services, the Railway is brainstorming to convert many passenger trains into express trains. However, no official decision has been taken by the Railway Board regarding this yet.

The Railway Ministry official has said, "The news of Railways planning to convert 181 passenger trains into expresses is not really based on any decision of the Railway Board". It said that no such decision has been taken by the Railway Board yet. The official further explained, "Though the idea of converting slow-moving passenger trains into expressways can be seen as a process to deliver the benefits of better infrastructure and rolling stock to the passengers".

He said that in addition to providing facilities like AC and reserved seats to the passengers, they will be able to reach their destination in less time than before. Another official said, "However it is still in the planning stage and no finalization has been done yet."
