2600 special trains to run in next 10 days, 36 lakh people will reach home

New Delhi: The Indian Railways, called the lifeline of the country, is now in the process of catching pace. From June 1, hundred pairs of trains will start running on the track. Counters have been opened for ticket booking since Friday. Between the Corona crisis and the lockdown, the Ministry of Railways is playing an important role in taking migrants and workers to their home state.

It is being taken care of by the Railways that the passengers in Shramik Special Trains do not have any problem. The Railway Ministry has now announced to run 2600 more Shramik Special trains in the next 10 days amidst continuous efforts to provide relief to the passengers. Indian Railways has operated 2,600 laborers special trains across the country since May 1. Under which more than 45 lakh people have been transported across the country to their destination. There are plans to operate 2,600 more trains in the next 10 days.

Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav said on Saturday that we have started running labor special trains from May 1 to take the migrant workers and laborers stranded in other states to their home state. So far 2,600 laborers special trains have been operated. On the future plans of the railway, Yadav said that the railways along with the state governments have prepared a roadmap for the next 10 days. In the coming ten days, 2,600 trains are going to operate and we will take more than 36 lakh passengers to their destination.
