New Delhi: Train service is currently closed due to Coronavirus lockdown, but due to the possibility of starting rail operations from April 15, the number of ticket bookers has also increased. Railway passengers are already booking advance tickets waiting for the lockdown to end. In many main trains, the waiting list has come up due to the sleeper and AC seat being full from April 16 to 20.

This situation is there when the fare concession is not being given to the senior citizens i.e. senior citizens by the Railways. The government is not seeking any kind of mob even after the lockdown ends in view of the coronavirus. The reason behind not giving ticket booking exemption to senior citizens is that people should avoid traveling unnecessarily. It is worth mentioning that till now 50% discount was given to women and 40% for men as senior citizens and after booking the option of India at the time of booking tickets, this option which you can see in the picture below.

Banks will be closed for so many days in April

The 21-day pre-announced lockdown period in the country ends on April 14, although a final decision on this has to be taken by a group of central government ministers formed on the Coronavirus. But the railway has instructed the concerned officers of all zonal divisions to be ready on duty. In view of this, the railway passengers have started booking the advance ticket.
