New Delhi: Indian Railways has taken a proactive step to address the surge in passenger traffic during the ongoing festive season by extending the Pune-Amravati Festival Special Train. This decision, as announced by the Central Railway, aims to ensure a smoother and more convenient travel experience for passengers amidst the festive rush.

Alterations in Train Schedules and Additional Details
The Pune-Amravati Festival Special Train, previously slated to operate only until November 17 (on Fridays and Sundays), will now run from November 19 to December 1, encompassing four additional trips.

Similarly, the Amravati-Pune Special Train, originally scheduled to conclude services by November 18 (on Saturdays and Mondays), will continue its operations from November 20 to December 2 to accommodate the escalating demand for travel during this period.

Booking Information
An official from Central Railway has confirmed that bookings for the extended trips of the special trains, numbered 01439/01440, are presently open. Passengers can make reservations at all computerized reservation centers or via the official website http://www.irctc.co.in.

Important Reminder for Passengers
Passengers intending to travel with dogs must note that canines are prohibited in AC sleeper coaches, AC chair car coaches, sleeper class, or second-class coaches. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate removal of the dog from the brake van, and penalties will be imposed at six times the luggage scale rate.

The Indian Railways, while facilitating transportation, does not assume responsibility for losses, damages, or any issues arising from the transport of animals or vehicle overloading.

Indian Railways' decision to extend these festival-special train services reflects its commitment to providing adequate travel facilities and managing the surge in passenger demand during festive seasons.
