New Delhi: The Supreme Court has slammed the Indian Railways for the delayed running of trains. In fact, recently, the Supreme Court has issued a direction to the Indian Railways to pay a compensation of 30,000 rupees in a case of a late train. Tell all of you that a person's flight was missed due to the lateness of the train, and after that, they suffered a lot. After the same incident, the man lodged a complaint with the district court and now the court's decision came in his favor. The state and consumer courts also upheld the court's decision as part of the information received.

A bench of Justices MR Shah and Anirudh Bose said in the case, "If the Railways fails to explain why the train is late, it will be responsible for compensation to the passengers. Not only that, during the hearing of the case, the court took into account that the time of the passengers was precious and that one or the other should be held responsible for the delay of the train.'' In fact, the court said, "This is a time of competition and accountability. If public transport has to remain competitive, they have to compete with private companies, they have to improve the system and the way they work. No person or passenger can depend on the mercy of the authorities or the administration. Somebody has to take responsibility.''

What is the matter- The case dates from June 11, 2016, when complainant Sanjay Shukla reached Jammu by Ajmer-Jammu Express with his family, though his train reached Jammu at around 12 noon instead of reaching Jammu at 8.10 am. During that time, the Shukla family was to catch a 12 o'clock flight to Srinagar, though they missed the flight when the train was late. After all this, Sanjay Shukla booked a taxi worth Rs. 15,000 and reached Srinagar and could not stay at the hotel where he had already booked due to non-timely arrival. In fact, later, they had to pay another 10,000 rupees for their stay.
