The National Marathon will begin and end at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and be run under the auspices of the Athletics Federation of India and Fit India. The route will cover by important city attractions like Khan Market, Lodhi Garden, and Humayun's Tomb.

Being an inclusive Run, participants with disabilities will run the entire course alongside everyone else.
The Apollo Tyres New Delhi Marathon live event, which is being organised by NEB Sports, will feature up to 16,000 competitors, making it one of the largest athletic events in the nation. In addition, starting on February 21, more than 50,000 additional people from all over the world will participate in the five-day virtual marathon.

The runners will compete in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K races, among other events.
Ankur Dhama (Arjuna Awardee) and Ramanjee (paralympic medallist), two prominent international para athletes, will serve as the team's leaders. They will be joined by about 25 vision-impaired athletes with guide runners in the 10k division.
This edition will also feature participation from a separate group of people with disabilities from The Challenging Ones, led by Kargil Veteran and Amputee Athlete Maj. DP Singh.

"The Apollo Tyres New Delhi Marathon has received fantastic support from the running community. Live sporting events have been challenging to organise in the past few years due to the Covid-19 outbreak. It is quite wonderful to observe the immense energy and passion among runners, not just in Delhi but around the nation, now that they are organised. Both the live and virtual events have already attracted a sizable number of participants "gushed Satish Sharma, president of Apollo Tyres Ltd.'s APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa) division.
