Indian swordsmen have also won 9 medals in the Asian Junior and Cadet Swordsmanship Championships. In the tournament held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, India won four medals in the Junior Championships while five medals have been bagged in the Cadet Championships. India did not get a single gold but its account includes 2 silver and seven bronze medals. According to the Fencing Association of India, a total of 12 Asian countries including India have participated in the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships.
