But the UK Immigration Department cancelled the visa by saying that she was too good in English, so it wasn't sure. Alexandria Rintoul passed the International English Language Test (IELTS).

As per visa rules, it is mandatory for the applicant to pass IELTS. The woman was then told that the exam she passed was of a high standard. This will cause her to apply again. It would have cost at least Rs 1.70 lakh. Alexandria is from Meghalaya and her husband, Bobby Rintoul, from Scotland. The two met in India. The two spent some time together in Dubai after the wedding. The woman then shared this information on Facebook.

Alexandria wrote on Facebook, "There is a business of extorting money from people in the name of visas. I could give a visa based on the exams I passed and the documents that were given. But the money needed for children and family is now costing them a visa. It's just because I can speak good English as a citizen of a country where English is not spoken primarily!"
