Residents of India live in almost every country of the world, in every corner. There are also some countries where the population of Indians is very high. If we call such countries as 'mini Hindustan' then it will not be proved wrong. There is one such insular country in Melanesia of the South Pacific Ocean, where about 37 percent of the population is Indian and they have been living in this country for hundreds of years. This is why Hindi is also included in the official language here, which has developed into Awadhi.

Let us tell you that the name of this country is Fiji. There are abundant forest, mineral and aquatic sources here. This is the reason why Fiji is considered the most advanced nation in the islands of the Pacific Ocean. The biggest source of foreign exchange here is tourism and sugar exports. The Fiji Islands are famous all over the world due to the beauty of their islands and for this reason a large number of people also come to roam here.

In fact, Britain took the island under its control in the year 1874 and made it a colony. After this, he brought thousands of Indian laborers here to work in the sugarcane fields on a five-year contract and put a condition in front of them that after the completion of five years, they can go if they want to go, But on his expenses and if he works for five more years, then after that, British ships will transport him to India. In such a situation, most of the laborers thought it right to work, but later they could not return to India and remained through Fiji. However, in the 1920s and 1930s, thousands of Indians came and settled here voluntarily. There are a total of 322 islands in the Fiji Islands, out of which only 106 islands are permanently inhabited. The two major islands here are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, on which about 87 percent of the country's population lives. Most of the islands of Fiji were formed 150 million years ago due to volcanic eruptions. There are still many such islands where volcanic eruptions often occur.
