Most Indians believe that women players are also required to get paid in the same way as male players, but 38 percent say that sports which involve women are not more entertaining than sports involving men. This result came out in the course of a research.

In this research, responses of 10181 people from 14 Indian states have been included, out of which three quarters said that sports are important in their lives but only 36 percent are able to participate in any kind of sports or physical activities. In this, it has been said that 42 percent of the men said that they have taken part in sports while the number of such women is only 29 percent. People who are 15 to 24 years old mostly play sports.
Research has also shown that those who are unmarried are more likely to participate in sports. Among the unmarried, 54 percent take part in sports while the number of such married or divorced people is 30 percent. It says that 41 percent believe that women players are equally as good as male players.
