Mandsaur: A Muslim in Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh has set an example of communal harmony. In fact, a Muslim mason, Naharu Khan, has planted a bell of 3700 kg on the premises of Pashupatinath temple here. It is said to be the heaviest bell in the country. For the construction of this maha bell, old copper and brass utensils were donated from people's homes and in about 3 years, this bell has been prepared.

For the last two years, it was kept on the temple premises because did not want to take the risk of hanging this bell of 37 quintals. Meanwhile, Mandsaur District Magistrate Gautam Singh decided to install it in the temple and summoned a person named Naharu Khan. The man asked for 10 days to hang the bell in the temple. Naharu Khan finally did this work using his mind.

Apart from Naharu Khan, MLA Yashpal Singh, District Magistrate Gautam Singh and Dinesh Nagar of the Ghanta Samiti were among the first to play it after the bell was hung. It is being said that whenever any big work stops in Mandsaur, only Naharu Khan, who has studied up to the second standard, comes in handy. Dinesh Nagar, a member of the Ghanta Abhiyan Samiti, said that old brass and copper utensils were collected from the houses of people from about 150 different areas and the Shiva bell was constructed.  Let me tell you that the bell is about 6 feet long. Its diameter is 66.50 inches. An oscillation of more than 200 kg has also been prepared to play bell. It can also be easily played by children because it has bearing.
