New Delhi: According to provisional statistics, India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed 142.47 crore - precisely 1,42,46,81,736 - in the last 24 hours, with 72,87,547 vaccine doses administered. India's recovery rate is at 98.40 percent, the highest since March 2020, according to the Union Ministry of Health.
The Centre and the States/UTs have been working together to keep the trend of less than 15,000 new cases being recorded per day for the past 61 days. In the previous 24 hours, 6,358 new cases have been reported. The number of active cases in India is currently 75,456. Active cases account for 0.22 percent of all positive cases in the country, the lowest level since March 2020.
The testing capacity in the United States continues to grow. In the last 24 hours, a total of 10,35,495 tests have been performed. In total, India has conducted about 67.41 crore (67,40,78,531) tests.
Despite increased testing capacity across the country, the Weekly Positivity Rate of 0.64 percent has remained below 1 percent for the past 44 days. The Daily Positivity Rate was 0.61 percent, according to reports. For the past 85 days, the daily Positivity rate has been below 2 percent , and for the past 120 days, it has been below 3 percent.
