India's oldest couple defeated 'Corona', returns home after recovery

Kottayam: On one hand, while the number of patients infected with the coronavirus in the country is steadily increasing, on the other hand, a news report encouraging people has come from Kerala. The oldest Indian patient of Corona and his wife in Kerala's Kottayam district have been discharged from the hospital on Friday after being completely infection free.

NIA filed charge sheet against two people in this case

This elderly couple were fighting for life and death in the hospital since 9 March. Friday brought light of hope for Thomas Abraham (93) and his wife Maryamma (88) when they were discharged from the Government Medical College and Hospital in Kottayam. Thomas and Mariamma, who were infected with their son, were admitted to Government Medical College, Kottayam on March 9. Since then both were undergoing treatment in this hospital.

Due to this group, number of Corona infected is increasing in India

While giving the information, the doctors have said that the couple are completely free from infection and are healthy. Before being discharged from the hospital, both were re-corona tested and the report was negative. It was described by experts as the rarest case. Doctor Neeraj Gupta, who was in the team treating the corona patients at Safdarjung Hospital, had said that it was nothing short of a miracle.
