Jaipur: Amid the growing threat of corona, there has been a sad news about the Omicron variant. The first death from corona's new variant Omicron in India has been confirmed. The Union Health Ministry has confirmed the death of a 72-year-old patient in Jaipur. The health ministry has said that the patient has lost his life from omicron.

Though the patient became negative after 5 days of being infected, the ministry has said that he was admitted to the hospital so the death would be considered a death from omicron. Tell you that the patient became negative due to treatment after being infected but died a few days after being negative. Even after being negative, he was admitted to the hospital.

On the other hand, Omicron's cases are also growing rapidly. In the last 24 hours, 58,097 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the country. Corona killed 534 people in a day. So, the number of people infected with omicrons has increased to 2,135. In view of the increasing corona cases in the country, the Centre as well as the state government have come on alert mode. In many states, the period of strictness and anti-bandhs has resumed. There is talk of putting lockdown again in many regions.
