India's first movable freshwater tunnel aquarium at KSR railway station in Bengaluru was opened to common citizens on Thursday. With a view to give a memorable experience to the people and make their waiting time at the station enjoyable, Indian Railway Station Development Corporation Limited has constructed this freshwater tunnel aquarium at KSR Bengaluru railway station with the help of South Western Railway and HNI Aquatic Kingdom.

The entry fee has been fixed at Rs 25 for viewing the aquarium based on the Amazon Rainforest. Speaking on the initiative, SK Lohia, Managing Director and CEO, IRSDC said, 'The aquarium will make it a pleasant experience for people instead of being dull. This Aquatic Kingdom will attract travellers and visitors and it will not only be a pleasant experience, but it will also be educative to experience the fishing'.

At present, most of the 25 visitors at a time can enter the aquarium, following corona-related protocols. It may be noted that this 12 feet long Aquatic Kingdom is the first paluderium of the Indian Railways, which has innumerable flora and fauna and will be a special spot for individuals. The main feature of this Aquatic Kingdom also features 3D selfie area, marine and tropical sections in pleasing colours. It has various aquatic animals like sharks, lobsters, snails and shrimps.
