India achievd a remarkable performance on the second day of the 2024 Paris Paralympics, with four athletes winning medals across various events. Leading the charge was Avani Lekhara, who clinched the gold in the women's 10m air rifle category. Mona Agarwal earned a bronze medal in the same event, showcasing the prowess of Indian shooters.

In athletics, Preethi Pal secured a bronze in the 100m T35 event with a time of 14.21 seconds, marking India's first-ever athletics medal in a Paralympic track event. Meanwhile, Manish Narwal overcame mid-competition challenges to win a silver medal in the men's 10m air pistol SH1 category, finishing with a score of 234.9 points.

This achievement highlights India's growing strength in para-sports, further solidified by the fact that the country has sent its largest Paralympic contingent ever to the Paris Games, with 84 athletes competing across 12 sports. The athletes are determined to build on the success of Tokyo 2020, where India won a record 19 medals, including five golds, eight silvers, and six bronzes.
