One of India’s eminent emcees Angela Rebello is the most celebrated name in the events and entertainment industry. The established personality has had the busiest year with hosting consecutive events for brands and clients from all over the world. Be it the on-ground events or the virtual and hybrid events, Rebello has been the dominating force across different event formats.
Recently, Angela hosted the red carpet of the 2nd edition of the MyGlamm Filmfare OTT Awards 2021 which was a star-studded affair. The awards night was held at the plush Taj Land’s End in Mumbai on December 9, and the final show turned out to be a blockbuster with the best artists from the OTT space taking away the Black Lady home. Angela has been associated with Filmfare for more than four years, and like every year, she had a surreal experience of hosting the red carpet event.
The glitzy awards night saw many renowned artists in attendance including Taapsee Panny, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ananya Panday, Kusha Kapila, Konkona Sensharma, Rasika Dugal, Hansal Mehta, Sai Tamhankar and Aahana Kumra to name a few. The emcee had candid conversations with a majority of celebrities while welcoming them on the red carpet of the show.
While hosting a red carpet show for the prestigious Filmfare OTT Awards is a dream for many, Angela feels blessed to be a part of this awards event. The best part she felt while hosting this year’s event was that she got to interact with artists and she brought out stories about their characters and roles they played in web series and shows.
Enlightening about it, the celebrity host said, “It was not just about artists speaking about their characters in the shows, but they candidly spoke about their struggles on how they made it big in the world of showbiz. Every conversation had some inspiring takeaway, and it is always a delight to know about any artist’s journey towards success.” As much as Angela loves to interview the tinsel town’s celebrities, she is fond of meeting new talents and knowing about their journey in the industry.
Furthermore, Angela even stated that it was an enriching experience for her when the celebrities spoke about their Filmfare memories on the red carpet. “A few of the memories were funny, emotional and surprising as shared by them; but I thoroughly loved knowing the other side of these artists”, she added.
Besides the starry night event, Angela Rebello recently created waves for hosting a hybrid event that was streamed across 18 countries. Moreover, the anchor has hosted many other events in the past including private parties, destination weddings, corporate events and sporting events. So far, Angela Rebello has hosted more than 1600 shows globally with more than 600 weddings. On the professional front, the emcee has many other events in the pipeline including virtual as well as on-ground events.
