Sreeshankar, who has played in the Tokyo Olympics, holds a national record of 8.36m. This was Sreeshankar's first tournament since the Tokyo Olympics. Second only to Sreeshankar was Sweden's Tobias Montler, who won the silver medal with a jump of 8.27 m, while France's Jules Pomorie won the bronze medal.
