India's oilmeal exports declined by 78 per cent over the previous year in May

New Delhi: India's oilmileage exports declined by 78 per cent in May last month over the previous year. India exported just 58,549 tonnes of khal in May 2019, compared to 2, 63644 tonnes of khal exported from the country in the month of May, a year ago.

As per the information received from the sources, these figures have been compiled by the edible oil industry organisation Solvent Extractors Association of India. According to data released by the sea on Friday, India exported a total of 3, 13134 tonnes of khal in the initial two months of the current financial year, compared to 4, 87995 tonnes of khal exported from the country during the same two months last year.

Thus, the export of khal from the country decreased by 36 per cent during the last two months, according to the information. However, there has been a strong increase in the Khal's export of castor (casted). India exported 82,645 tonnes of castor khal during April-May this year, compared to a mere 25,429 tonnes of castor khal from the country during the same two months last year.
