India's top para-badminton players Pramod Bhagat and Sukant Kadam have already started their preparations for the 2024 Olympic Games with a 10-day practice session in Paris. Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Bhagat and world number four Sukant Kadam are currently training at the 'CREPS Ile de France' Academy in Paris. Both of them practised in Spain 15 days ago.

Both players are engaged in training from Mitchell Talba, Clement Gilot and Fabris Bernabe. They are to appear to be practising with Matthew Thomas, representing France in SL three category. Bhagat, who is at the top of the world rankings, has said that 'We wanted to adapt to the conditions and weather conditions in Paris because the 2024 Paralympics are being held here and that is my last big goal. I'm trying to work towards that. We also wanted to understand the thinking and strategy of the other players.'

Sukant expressed the hope that this training is also going to help him in his Olympic preparations. He has said that 'A little more than two years are left for Paris 2024 to begin. Training with the French team has also started to benefit our preparations for the big event. With which we want to adapt to the new grades and levels of different types of BWF rules.'

Bhagat and Sukant along with other Indian para-shuttlers are all set for the Spanish International tournament to be held in Cartagena from March 8 to 13. Coach Thomas has said, "I am really happy that Pramod and Sukant have come to France to train with me. They will be able to adapt themselves to the conditions in Paris for the Paralympic Games in 2024.''
