New Delhi: Preparations for major changes have started in the PM's official website- pmindia.gov.in managed by the Government of India. Now the PM's website will appear in a new color form. According to the proposal released by the government, now the website can be viewed in 6 official languages of United Nations as well as 22 Indian languages. So far the website of the Prime Minister of India can be read in 12 languages.

The proposal includes Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish in 6 languages of the United Nations. Along with this, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu in 22 Indian languages has been included in the language of the website.

The proposed website will be able to indicate the language based on other factors including geo location and language selection history. In the Request for Proposal (RFP) prepared for the website, it has been said that static and dynamic content should be translated on the portal. The proposal states that the selected agency will be provided with content in English or Hindi.
