With the help of 2 goals each from Sanjay Kumar, Arijit Singh and Sudeep Chirmako, defending champions India defeated Poland 8-2 to secure their place in the quarterfinals of the FIH Junior Men's Hockey World Cup, where they will take on Belgium on December 1. Belgium beat Malaysia by a goal margin in Pool A to finish top, though both had 7 points each.

Sanjay (04, 58th minute), who scored a hat-trick in the first 2 matches, continued to score while Arijit (8th, 60th minute) and Sudeep (24th and 40th minutes) have also done well. The other goals were scored by Uttam Singh (34th minute) and Shardanand (38th minute).

Poland fired both their goals with the help of Rutkowski (50th minute) and Robert (54th minute). Reports suggest pak beat Egypt 3-1 in pool D while unbeaten France beat Canada 11-1 to finish top of Pool A. Malaysia beat South Africa 4-3 to finish second in Pool A. Belgium beat Chile 3-0.
