New Delhi: An IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Vadodara was diverted to Jaipur yesterday night as a precautionary step following vibrations in the engine for a fraction of a second.

The passengers' next flight was scheduled on an alternative aircraft.

"On July 14, 2022, an IndiGo flight 6E-859, operating between Delhi and Vadodara, was diverted to Jaipur," the IndiGo official said.

"The pilot made a precautionary detour to Jaipur for further inspections. For their subsequent flight, the passengers were accommodated on an alternative aircraft."

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced that an investigation has been ordered.
Many of the airline's aircraft maintenance personnel have taken sick leave over the past six days in protest of their meager pay and to demand the reinstatement of pay that was cut during the COVID-19 outbreak.

IndiGo stated on Wednesday that it is working to resolve issues pertaining to employee compensation in the midst of the widespread sick leave protest. IndiGo also issued a statement stating that it is in frequent contact with its staff to address any problems or complaints.
