Rio de Janeiro: There have been reports of firing in two schools in the state of Espirito Santo in Brazil. An assailant opened fire indiscriminately at these schools in the city of Aracruz, killing three people and injuring 11 others. The injured students have been admitted to the local hospital for treatment. 

According to local media reports, the incident of firing took place around 9:30 am. The media quoted a police officer as saying that a youth entered the staff room of a government school and killed two teachers. He then drove the car to the private school on the same street, where he killed a student. About four hours later, the shooter, identified as a 16-year-old boy who attended a public school there, was arrested by police. However, the authorities have not released the name of the suspected attacker.

According to the report, security cameras showed the assailant, wearing a bulletproof vest, firing a semi-automatic pistol. Giving information in this regard, an official has said that the weapon used by the attacker belongs to his father, who has been a military officer.
