India's star women's badminton player PV Sindhu entered the quarterfinals of the Indonesia Open singles event against Mia Bilichfeltt of Denmark in a three-game clash here on Thursday. The fifth-seeded Sindhu defeated Bilichfeltt 21-14, 17-21, 21-11 in an hour-long two-minute match in the second round. Sindhu's performance in this match has been much better.

This is Sindhu's third win this year against the 13th-ranked Bilichfelt in a short-time match. She defeated the Danish player in the Indian Open and the Singapore Open. Sindhu will next face the winner of the match between Sonia Cheh of Malaysia and Naomi Okuhara of Japan. Sindhu's start was not good and Bilichfelt took a 6-3 lead. The Indian then made a comeback and equalized the score. Sindhu made her first game by consistently showing better games. The second game saw a tough fight but Bilichfelt made a strong comeback. He took the lead 9-5 first and then 10-7.

For your information, Sindhu then scored three consecutive points to level the score at 10-10. The Danish player took advantage of Sindhu's mistakes and made a comeback in the second game. In the deciding game, however, Bilichfeltt did not go one ahead of Sindhu and the Indian won the game easily. Meanwhile, the men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lost to top seed Marcus Fernandes Giddien and Kevin Sanjaysumulzo of Indonesia 15-21, 14-21 in the second round.
