Indonesia scales up 2,925 new Covid-19 cases and 14 more deaths

JAKARTA – Indonesia's Health Ministry confirmed 2,925 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the country's total to 4,286,378, the ministry said.

According to the Ministry, the death toll from Covid-19 in Indonesia increased by 14 to 144,220 in the last 24 hours, while 712 more people recovered from the disease, bringing the total to 4,123,267.

Over 181.13 million Indonesians have received their initial doses of vaccines, while over 124.08 million have received their second doses, according to the state media reports.

Indonesia began mass Covid-19 vaccinations in January 2021, following approval of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine for emergency use. The government has administered over 306.57 million doses, including the third booster jabs, in order to fully vaccinate the country's 208.2 million residents.
