Indore: Monday became a new day for Indore, the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh. An Air India plane flew its first from here to Dubai. With this, Indore has now joined international airports. The sight Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport on Monday was pleasant and exciting. All passengers on the first flight to Dubai were dressed in Malvi turbans. Charming rangoli was made at the airport.

From Indore air India aircraft took off in the presence of BJP MP Shankar Lalwani, former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Mayor Malini Gaud and Air India CMD Ashwani Lohani. Different events were held on the occasion. Notably, the pilots of the flight were Indore-born Sunish Bhargava. Not only Indore, it is a pleasant day for the entire state, said MP Lalwani. Indore is now an international airport city. Every year 25 lakh travellers visit this place.

Lalvani further said that a new terminal is now required to be built in Indore. The new terminal has been planned at a cost of Rs 476 crore. Work on it will begin soon. Bjp National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya congratulated the achievement and said Indore has now become an international air port. Domestic air service started 71 years ago.
