Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, under the Operation Prahar Prahar being run against illegal narcotics, the Indore Police has taken big action and caught 5 drug smugglers. Drugs worth about Rs 70 crore have also been recovered from them. It is being described as the biggest action ever in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, the Indore crime branch was informed that some smugglers from Hyderabad were going to supply large quantities of drugs through local agents and drug peddlers living in and around Indore.
On the basis of this information, the team of crime branch reached the spot and took a siege and detained 5 people in four-wheelers. The arrested accused have named their names as Dinesh Agarwal resident Indore, Akshay Agarwal resident Indore, Chiman Agarwal resident Mandsaur, Vedprakash Vyas resident Tirumalgiri Hyderabad and Mangi Banktesh resident Jetmedla district Rangareddy Hyderabad.
70 kg of drugs has been found from them, which is worth about 70 crores in the international market. Along with this, 13 lakh cash, 2 four-wheeler, and 08 mobiles have also been seized from them. ADG Yogesh Deshmukh and DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra said that the drugs recovered were MDMA, used in rave parties and pubs. The arrested accused have told in interrogation that they have supplied drugs several times in the areas of Malwa, including Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Khandwa and their target was mostly college-going youth.
