As per the information received, 23-year-old student Dev Shri Deshmukh hails from Mahalaxmi Nagar. She reportedly works for a private company in Indore. The student had come to Indore from Burahanpur some time ago and working. Her friend Gauri, who rushed her to the hospital, had told the hospital counter that Dev Sri had a blade in her hand, which had stabbed her in the throat and she roamed on the roof for a while.

Gauri further said that as soon as she found the photo she immediately called Dev Sri's family members. He then informed Dev Sri's sister about the incident.
