Indore: The corona epidemic has affected the country's economic system heavily, meanwhile, several rules have been changed by the government. The same decision to increase water tax and garbage collection fee by the Indore Municipal Corporation has been withdrawn. Minister Tulsi Silawat announced this on the residency Kothi. MP Shankar Lalwani, MLA Mahendra Hardia, and Nagar Chairperson Gaurav Randive were also present.
The same minister, Silawat said that the tax hike has been postponed after discussing it with Minister Bhupendra Singh. It may be recalled that the municipal corporation had started opposing the tax hike, with Congress also objecting to the BJP leaders. Today, Congress had protested at the big Ganpati intersection.
In addition, the garbage collection fee was imposed on the city dwellers in Indore in the year 2016. Before this, 50 percent of the property was sanitized. That is, in the Vijay Nagar area, the family who paid property of Rs 1900, had to pay Rs 425 per year in the name of cleanliness fee. This amount was included in property tax. But in the increased tax, we had to pay 5320 rupees, which is 10 times more.
