Indore: The ball with which legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar scored the first double century in international ODI history in Gwalior 12 years ago was gifted to him in Indore. Yes, according to the information received, an official of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Organization (MPCA) gave this information on Monday. Sachin Tendulkar is currently in Indore in connection with the T20 matches of the 'Road Safety World Series Tournament'. Tendulkar is leading the 'India Legends' team in this competition, which is being played between teams of different countries adorned with former international cricketers.

MPCA chief curator Samandar Singh Chauhan said, "When Tendulkar reached the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday for practice, he reached out to him with a ball related to the record of the 'Master Blaster' double century in Gwalior and requested him to give an autograph on this ball." He further said, "On seeing this ball, Tendulkar asked me if could he gift it to him. I immediately agreed as it was a matter of luck for me. Now the ball has reached its rightful owner.''

At the same time, he also told that after the end of the one-day match played between India and South Africa in Gwalior 12 years ago, he had preserved the ball related to Tendulkar's record of the double century as a memory. At the same time, the curator, who has more than four decades of experience in preparing wickets, said that the pitch at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior on which Tendulkar made this record was prepared by him.

You all know that in the one-day match against South Africa in Gwalior on February 24, 2010, Tendulkar scored an unbeaten 200 off 147 balls with the help of 25 fours and three sixes. Yes and this was the first time in this format of international cricket that a player had scored a double century. In this match, India won by a huge margin of 153 runs over South Africa and Tendulkar was declared the player of the match.
