Indore: Shri Harinarayan Chari Mishra, Commissioner of Police, Indore city, Madhya Pradesh will be awarded the President's Police Medal for meritorious service. Harinarayanchari Mishra is the first IPS who started his career as a TI (trainee) from Indore and became the Police Commissioner of the same city after 16 years. He is also the only officer to become SDOP, Senior Superintendent of Police, DIG and IG in the same district. Harinarayanchari Mishra, an IPS of the 2003 batch, came to Indore in 2005 as in-charge (trainee) of Hatod police station.
On completion of the same training, the Government appointed him as SDOP of Mhow after one year. Thereafter, he was posted as Superintendent of Police in cities like Balaghat, Khandwa, Jabalpur and Gwalior and came to Indore as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on December 5, 2016. He was promoted in March 2017 and took over as DIG in the city till May 15, 2019.
The same CP Harinarayanchari Mishra never reprimands subordinates in public. Mishra, who specializes in paperwork, listens to everyone and speaks his mind. The parties and the opposition are never upset with their functioning. Whether it is the investigation of serious cases or any other case, they are also in direct contact with the policemen, even after holding key posts for six years, Mishra did not form any group and continued to work with teamwork. Maintained coordination with the district administration in major operations like the land mafia, liquor smuggling, land scam, drug abuse etc.
