Indore City police on Tuesday arrested seven people including two women for possessing MDMA drugs and seized 40 grams of the drugs and two four-wheelers from them. The accused are being questioned further.
ASP Rajesh Raghuwanshi said that the police busted a gang involved in supplying Bangladeshi girls in the city and other states a few months ago. About 30 members of the gang were arrested by the police. The kingpin of the gang Sagar Jain was arrested from Delhi a few days ago. Sagar informed the police about the gang indulged in supplying drugs at various places to make people drug addicts. A team led by Tahjib Kaji was constituted to nab the accused involved in such crime in the city. The team kept an eye on the people and their network and managed to arrest seven persons from various places in the city and recover 40 grams of MDMA drugs.
The accused were identified as Sohan alias Jojo of Barwani, Dheeraj of Khudel, Kapil, Vicky, Yashmin, Afrin, Saddam of Khajrana area. During the questioning, police came to know that the accused supplied drugs to youths and teenagers at gymnasiums, cafes, pubs etc by luring them. Two of the accused are gym trainers and they used to supply drugs by luring the youths of making muscles and losing weight. The accused allegedly told the police that they used to target cafes, pubs etc because young people often visit these places.
