At the same time, mayor council members, councillors and officials planted brooms at various places in the city and made the residents pledge to keep the city clean. Pushyamitra Bhargava said that Indore has geared up to come number one in cleanliness for the 7th time. City dwellers now like clean cities, because now cleanliness has become a habit of ours. It is also the responsibility of the city dwellers to dump the waste at the designated place. Instead of throwing garbage in the backlane, it should be handed over to door-to-door garbage collection vehicles.
The cleanliness drive continued till 9 am today in the Collector's office. After this, the Collector along with women cleaners came and sat on the green grass in the lawn of the office. After this, he had breakfast of poha and tea with the cleaners and also talked with the cleaning friends.
