Infinix has confirmed the launch of its flagship smartphone, the Infinix Zero 40 5G, in India on September 18, with a strong emphasis on its camera capabilities and AI-driven features. This announcement follows the company's recent debut of its first tablet in India, the Infinix XPad.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G will feature a distinct round camera module on the back, drawing design similarities to the OnePlus 12 series. However, it stands out with its dual-tone finish and 'Zero' branding at the bottom.

For photography enthusiasts, the phone is equipped with a 108MP primary camera featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, it includes a 'bokeh' lens, a zoom flash, and a standard flash for versatile shooting options.

The front of the device boasts a 3D curved display, offering a sleek, slim, and lightweight design. The phone measures just 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 195 grams. It will be available in three color options: Violet Garden, Moving Titanium, and Rock Black.

On the AI front, the Zero 40 5G introduces innovative features such as an AI eraser, generative AI wallpapers, and AI cut-out stickers, enhancing user experience with smart technology.

Infinix Zero 40 5G Specifications: While the Indian version is yet to be officially revealed, the Malaysian variant of the Zero 40 5G gives us some insights. It comes with a 6.74-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, reaching a peak brightness of 1300 nits. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor, the phone supports up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, ensuring smooth performance.

The device includes a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging and 20W wireless charging. It runs on XOS 14.5, based on Android 14, and promises two years of Android updates, making it future-ready up to Android 16.

In terms of pricing, the phone was launched in Malaysia for USD 399, which translates to approximately Rs. 33,500 in India. However, the exact Indian price will be revealed on September 18.
