Inflation shocks common man, milk expensive up to Rs 5 per litre

New Delhi: After Mother Dairy and Amul, now another company has increased the prices of milk. This has dealt another blow to the common people already troubled by inflation. The increase in milk prices comes at a time when holi has not yet fully descended. This increase has been made by the Bhopal Milk Association. The prices of Sanchi milk have been hiked from Rs 3 to Rs 5. 

The Bhopal Milk Association has said that the increase in milk prices will be effective from March 21 (Monday). However, at present, the advance cardholders will get milk only at the old prices till April 15 as they have paid at the old rates. According to the milk union, advance card consumers will not have to pay the new price that will come into effect from March 21 and till April 15, they will continue to get milk at the old prices. Thereafter, from April 16, they will also be given milk at the new prices.

How expensive is milk:-

- A packet of 500ml full cream milk is currently being received for Rs 27, it will be available for Rs 29 from Monday.
- One-litre packet of full cream milk is sometimes getting Rs 53 which will be available for Rs 57 from Monday.
- Standard Milk (Shakti) 500ml packet will now be available for Rs.27 instead of Rs.25.
- Toned milk (fresh) 500ml packet will now be available for Rs 24 instead of 22.
- Double Toned Milk (Smart) 500ml packet has increased from Rs 20 to Rs 22.
- Double Toned Milk (Smart) 200ML packet will now be available for Rs 10 instead of 9.
- Apart from this, you will have to pay Rs 53 for a one-litre packet of Chah milk from Monday, which is currently being received for Rs 48.
- For tea special milk from Monday instead of 43 rupees, 47 rupees will have to be paid.
