Goswami Tulsidas was a great poet, saint, reformer, and philosopher. He was a great devotee of lord Rama and writer of epic Ramcharitramanas. He was born on Saptami, the seventh day of Shukla Paksha, the bright half of the lunar Hindu calendar month Shraavana. There is conflict regarding the birthplace then in the year 2012, Sukarkhet Soron was declared officially by the government of Uttar Pradesh as the birthplace of Tulsi Das.

From the birth itself, he was different from others, Tulsidas was born after staying in the womb for twelve months instead of ninth and he had all thirty-two teeth in his mouth at birth. His health and looks were like that of a five-year-old boy, and he did not cry at the time of his birth but uttered Rama instead.  he was abandoned by his parents as he was born in an inauspicious astrological configuration.

He started composing poetry and wrote the Ramcharitramanas in Awadhi language. It is also believed that he got Darshan of Hanuman and Lord Ram for his devotion towards Ram.
