Lucknow: Doctors and staff will no longer be able to invite leaders, ministers or any other VIPs from their level at any event of the King George's Medical University (KGMU) in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. It will be mandatory to inform the KGMU administration before calling the leader-minister or any VIP. KGMU Vice-Chancellor Dr Bipin Puri issued an order in this regard on June 8.

In fact, KGMU has many types of academic events organized at the department level. The officials of the department invite VIPs and hon'ble from their level to the seminar and seminar. But that will not be possible now. For this, permission has to be taken from the Vice-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor has clearly written in the letter that hon'ble, governor, judge, and IAS should be invited to any programme through the Vice-Chancellor's office itself.

A letter in this regard has been conveyed by the Vice-Chancellor to CMSS, medical superintendents, heads of all departments, proctors, chief priests, controller of examinations, registrar, and controller of finance.
