Bhopal: An illusion of closure of mandis is being spread due to agricultural laws, due to which the Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh is ready to convert agricultural produce markets into smart mandis. In fact, in the road map of self-sufficient Madhya Pradesh, the mandis have been planned to meet all the things from farming to everyday use of farmers under one roof. It is being told that 'shopping malls' are to be built for this.

In these shopping malls, manure, seeds, medicine, groceries, clothes and other items will be available at a good price. It is being told that the middlemen will be removed and the goods will be purchased directly from the companies, this will make it cheaper than the market. Indeed, there are 259 mandis and 298 sub-mandis in the state. In such a situation, the farmer sells the produce in the agricultural produce mandis in addition to the purchase at the support price to be made in the procurement centres. Now the government wants these mandis to be given a form so that the farmers can get all the facilities under one roof. If you want, then get the produce graded, get the processing done and if you do not get the price, then keep the product in the warehouse there.

What will be special -

- Farmers shopping malls will be able to act like army canteens.

- Farmers will get cheaper goods than the market.

- Other materials including fertilizer, seeds, medicine will be available directly from the companies.

- The middlemen who make a profit will withdraw.

- Farmers will get things at a discounted rate.
