Lucknow: A case of ink being thrown at Congress leader and former JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar, who had arrived in Uttar Pradesh to campaign for his party, has come to light. The incident took place at the Lucknow headquarters of the Congress. The video of the incident is also going viral on social media, in which it can be seen that there is a scuffle in the Congress office and Kanhaiya Kumar's supporters are somehow taking him away. Kanhaiya had arrived on Tuesday (February 1, 2022) to campaign for Congress candidate Sadaf Zafar from Lucknow Central seat.

Significantly, the Congress has also included Kanhaiya Kumar's name in its list of 'star campaigners' for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Kanhaiya Kumar's supporters also manhandled the youth who threw ink. At the same time, Congress leaders claim that it is not ink, but acid. Though the ink did not fall on Kanhaiya Kumar, a few drops of it fell on some of the supporters around him. The young man who threw the ink has not said anything so far.

Let us know that Kanhaiya Kumar had arrived in Uttar Pradesh to conduct the 'door to door' campaign of the Congress. He joined hands with people in the streets of Lucknow and sought votes for the Congress candidate. Accusing other political parties of making everything virtual, he said Congress has been on the road with the people from the very beginning. On veteran Congress leaders leaving the party, he said the old leaders are leaving because now the party is getting new. He accused PM Modi of selling the country during this period and said that Congress will show now and will overthrow the BJP.
