KOCHI:  Today, the Indian Navy received the nation's first indigenous aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and senior military personnel attended the event.

At the launching of India's first homegrown aircraft carrier at the Cochin Shipyard on Friday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh praised INS Vikrant is an exceptional symbol of self-reliant and aspirational India,

"The commissioning of INS Vikrant is evidence that our effort to create a "Self-reliant India" is a comprehensive strategy. This is a crucial aspect of the enormous transformation that India is undergoing, led by the Prime Minister "The Minister of Defense said. He said, the government has implemented ground-breaking improvements in industries including health, education, trade, transport, and communication in order to meet its goals.

the defense minister adds,  the government's commitment to ensuring the country's security over the next 25 years was demonstrated by the commissioning of INS Vikrant during the initial phase of Amritkal. "It serves as a symbol of India's pride, strength, and tenacity. Also, its commissioning represents an unprecedented success for indigenous warship development."

"I applaud the efforts of the Indian Navy and Cochin Shipyard on this historic day, as well as the efforts of everyone involved in the project. I want to express my particular gratitude to the Chief of Naval Staff and his entire staff for their diligent work in commissioning INS Vikrant " he said.

The commissioning of INS Vikrant, provides comfort to friendly foreign nations that India can meet its obligation to provide collective security.

He said, "We believe in free, open and inclusive indo-pacific and we are strenuously making efforts that are guided by our Prime Minister's vision of Security & Growth for All in the Region.
