USA: The world has been swept up in the AI chatbot craze. Businesses are competing to see who has the best chatbot. Instagram, which is owned by Meta, might soon enter this competition.

Images released by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi appear to confirm this, at least. When, or if, Instagram releases its AI agent, let's take a look at what it might resemble.

Meta joined the AI race after its competitors. The business, though, has been taking steps to gain ground. Instagram, like its parent, is trying to keep up. Snapchat, a competitor, already has a chatbot called "My AI." 'Tako,' an AI chatbot being developed by TikTok, is currently undergoing limited testing. It remains to be seen if Instagram can outperform its rivals.

The name of Instagram's potential AI chatbot has not yet been revealed. However, the leak reveals some intriguing traits of the AI.
Users will be able to ask questions of the chatbot and receive guidance from it.
It will aid 'Instagrammers' in writing messages. Users can choose from 30 different AI personalities to converse with.

Which AI model will drive Instagram's chatbot is unknown. For a variety of uses, Meta has been hard at work creating AI models. It released an open-source AI model called "ImageBind" last month that supports six different modalities, including movement, depth, text, audio, and readings for text, temperature, and audio. Additionally, the business unveiled AI Sandbox to assist advertisers in using generative AI.

Social media AI chatbots haven't exactly taken off so far. For instance, Snapchat's 'My AI' received flak for conversations that devolved into blatantly inappropriate behaviour. Some users complained that the chatbot couldn't tell their age, while others thought it was lying. The Snaps feature of My AI, which sends images created by AI, is also not that great.

The release date or existence of Instagram's AI chatbot are unknown. Paluzzi's track record suggests that we might see one soon. In a previous interview, Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that Meta was developing "AI personas" for WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger.
