New Delhi: Terrorist outfits like Khalistani and Al Qaeda are plotting to carry out their nefarious designs in the country's capital city on January 26. After intelligence input, the Delhi Police has stepped up vigil and started researching the wanted terrorists. The terrorists are said to be taking advantage of the ongoing farmers' protest in the capital city of Delhi and can make a mess on the Republic Day.
"We have received inputs that Khalistani organisations and Al Qaeda can do the unwanted activity," said Siddhartha Jain, ACP, Connaught Place in Delhi. Keeping that in mind, we have taken a number of steps. Posters of wanted terrorists have also been pasted." Every year, the challenges to security increase on important occasions like 15th August and 26th January in Delhi.
Terrorists are able to make disturbances every time on these occasions, but they are not able to perform because of the vigilance of the security forces. But this time the challenge for the police has increased greatly. A large number of farmers are camping on the borders of Delhi. Intelligence agencies have received inputs that the terrorists are taking advantage of the agitation and the mob to attack.
