This temple is known as Dilwara Jain Temple or Delwada Temple. Actually it is a group of five temples, located in Mount Abu Nagar in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. These temples were built between the 11th century and the 16th century. All temples are dedicated to the Tirthankaras of Jainism.

The oldest of the temples of Dilwara is the 'Vimal Vasahi Temple', which was built in 1031 AD. This temple is dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first Tirthankara of Jainism. This temple, carved with white marble, was built by Vimal Shah, the minister of King Bhima I of the Chalukya dynasty of Gujarat. They also say that the eyes of the idol of Lord Adinath in this temple are made of real diamonds and there is a necklace of precious gems around their neck. The second most popular and grand temple here in the group of five temples is known as 'Luna Vasahi Temple'. It is dedicated to Lord Neminath, the 22nd Tirthankara of Jainism. It was built in 1230 AD by two brothers Vastupala and Tejpal, who were the rulers of Wahela in Gujarat. The speciality of this temple is that its main hall has small statues of 360 Tirthankaras. Apart from this, there is also a palm tree, in which 10 beautiful elephants are present in marble bay.

Apart from 'Vimal Vasahi Temple' and 'Luna Vasahi Temple', there are Pittalahar Temple, Sri Parshwanath Temple and Shri Mahavir Swamy Temple. The last built Mahavir Swamy temple was built in 1582 AD. It is dedicated to Lord Mahavira. Although it is the smallest of the other temples, the carving on its walls is the most beautiful and amazing. These temples are considered to be one of the most popular attractions of Rajasthan. It is believed that the artisans who built the temple completed the work of polishing the marble, they were paid according to the marble dust collected. For this reason, the artisans worked diligently and made magnificent carvings.
