The 25th International Film Festival of Kerala was postponed seeing in the condition due to corona pandemic, is set to begin from date February 10. In this festival, a total of 14 movies has been selected in the competition including two Malayalam films Lijo Jose Pellissery's Churuli and Jayaraj?s Hasyam.
In this event, not only Malayali movies but there are other two Indian films that are a part of the screening are Mohit Priyadarshi's debut film Kosa and Akshay Indigar's Chronicle of Space. Movies from other countries like Brazil, France, and Iran are up for the competition at IFFK. Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof?s award-winning film 'There is no evil' is one of the films that the audience is looking forward to. Reportedly, the organizers are taking care of the precautions and safety and antigen tests for delegates, officials, volunteers of the film festival, starting from next week, Monday. A lot of national and international films premiere at the IFFK every year thus it all makes this festival one of the biggest events in Kerala.
The film 'Burning' which won an Academy Award nomination is also up for the competition. Oasis, another film that won the Silver Lion award at the Venice International Festival and Poetry a 2010 South Korean drama film will be screening at the Kerala film festival.
