Today, you should not feel bad, angry, irritated or irate if someone will make fun of you or through jokes on you as its International Jokes Day. Jokes sometimes worked as melodious songs that give you a burst of laughter instead of a simple smile. In the whole world, there are a lot of people who are finding a way to laugh. Yes, their purposes for this can be different like someone wants to forget their ex, wants to change the mood, wants to eradicate boredom and many others And this purpose gets accomplished by those gods for whom comedy means a lot, their profession.

So, it's a day to salute all those legends who used to come on a weekend and gives a powerful boost for a whole week. Here, we are sharing some phenomenal comedians of India to whom everyone would love to hear.

Kapil Sharma

I think just by hearing ‘comedy’ word, the first person you remind was Kapil Sharma. The Punjabi man that started his career from a show named Hasde Hasande Ravo on MH One channel which was a Punjabi TV show. He got fame after winning a laughter show named The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007. He also won  Comedy Circus of Sony TV for 6 times. Later, he hosted many shows and awards and ended with his own franchise of comedy show named Comedy Nights with Kapil, The Kapil Sharma Show and Family Time With Kapil Sharma. He also contributed in two movies that are  Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and  Firangi. The winning actor was also awarded by many awards which include CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2013. Remarkably, in 2017 he was invited by Pranab Mukherjee at  Rashtrapati Bhavan to praise his contribution to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Sunil Grover 

The Gutthi of comedian world is also known to portray Dr Mashoor Gulati, Rinku Devi in Kapil’s show. The actor has also hosted shows and acted in various movies. His made his debut from DD National’ show “Full Tension”. Reportedly, the actor was in love with acting from his childhood and used to mimic his teachers. His biggest controversy was when he had a fight with his co-actor Kapil Sharma while Australia visit. After that, they never gave us chance to see them together.

Ali Asgar

Popularly known for playing ‘Pushpa Nani’ in Kapil’s show, Ali also has his footprints in hosting of TV shows and acting in popular serials and movies. He was also awarded as Best Actor in a Comic Role (Jury Award) for his serial Jeannie Aur Juju and Best Actor/Supporting Role for “Comedy Nights With Kapil” and “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki.” The actor made debut from his DD National’s 1987 show “Ek Do Teen Char”.

Johnny Lever

John Prakasa Rao Janumala, popularly known as Johnny Lever is a veteran comedian and had a contribution in approximately 300 movies. The actor who is famous for his comedy and funny role in Bollywood movies got ‘Lever’ in before entering to the acting world he used to work in Hindustan Lever Limited (a Unilever company). The Andhra Pradesh actor dropped out of school at 7th standard and started his career in stand up comedy at the age of 10. The actor was also an orchestra player and used to work with well famous duo Kalyanji-Anandji but his reign got disappeared at a time when Raju Srivastav came to Mumbai and started to explore opportunities.

Zakir Khan

The stand-up comedian is also known as 'Sakht Launda' was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh and came in limelight when he was awarded India's Best Stand Up Comedian competition that was organised by Comedy Central. He is getting popular with his Amazon Prime’s show that is “Haq Se Single”. Before this also he played an important role of write-in Amazon Prime’s web series ”Chacha Vidhayak Hain Hamre”. The actor also hosted the popular Youtube show AIB.

All India Bakchod(AIB)

The YouTube channel that consist comedy episodes on controversial events is run by Gursimran Khamba, Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya. Its popular episodes include “Genius of the Year”(2014) with Alia Bhatt,  All India Bakchod Knockout Championship that featured Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar as the host and many more.
