We are celebrating International Men’s day on November 19. The theme for 2022 is 'Helping Men and Boys'. The day honors the men in our lives and the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements they contribute to our society. It also celebrates the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities and motivates them to become positive role models.  It is a chance for all individuals of goodwill to show their appreciation for the men in their lives and recognize the contributions they make to society for the benefit of all.  On women’s day women usually get free public transport, gift from family members, and workplace relaxation. Let us also celebrate Men’s day as similar to women’s day. Make this Almond walnut cake to celebrate the occasion.

Ingredients

150 gms Butter

150 gms Sugar

5  eggs (optional)

100 gms ground Walnut

 50 gms chopped almods

3  gms juice or ram

50 gms Bread crumps

1 tbsp cocoa

100 gms grated Chocolate

 1 pinch salt

• Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 390°F).
•  Beat the butter, sugar and egg yolks together with a hand mixer until foamy.
• Stir in the ground almonds, ground walnuts, chopped almonds, rum, breadcrumbs, cocoa powder and grated chocolate.
• Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form.
• Fold eggs whites into the nut mixture. 
• Grease a round, ovenproof dish. Pour in the cake batter and smooth top.
• Place the dish inside a larger dish and pour boiling water halfway up the cake dish.
• Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
